Zarif to land in Nigeria as 1st African destination

Mr. Zarif’s visit covers Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, and Mali, where he will discuss bilateral matters of interests with local leaders. Presidents, parliament speakers, and foreign ministers of these countries will host Zarif’s delegation.

This is Zarif’s third tour of Africa. In his first tour of Africa, Zarif visited Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, and Tanzania in winter of 2015. In summer of 2015, Zarif’s tour brought him to Northern African countries of Algeria and Tunisia, the latter place of the first wave of so-called Arab Spring.
